Welcome to the Running for A Cause blog at Mbio Apparel!

I took this picture on April 19, 2010 just before the start of my second Boston Marathon...somehow I'd completely missed this famous sign the previous year.   This still feels like the right image to kick this blog off because it does all start here.    Some of you have been customers of ours for awhile on our Amazon store but today is the start of something bigger.

I've had the good fortune to run the Boston Marathon three times in support of an amazing charity and it seems only fitting now that Mbio Apparel's mission expand to support the charity runners of the world.   We will be dedicated to supporting all the "amateur athletes" out there who run (or cycle or triathlon or whatever crazy sport you do) for a cause.

We want to make the world better, one run at a time.

So what can you expect from us?

First know that this blog will go to support you, the charity runners and athletes reading this blog...together we can do this.

  • We're going to promote you and share your story to help grow your fundraising efforts.
  • We'll also be highlighting some great charities which need you to run for them.
  • We'll of course be sharing tips and useful information to prepare for your races.
  • And we'll be sharing Brian's (and the rest of the team's) updates on the races we're in
Of course we hope to provide you with some great gear too.. :)

I'm really glad you found us.   Please leave a comment and let me know what you think about our mission and be sure to share this with your friends.

So you want to be in the top 0.5%?    You want to join that tiny percentage of people who have finished a marathon?

The good news is you can totally do it.   All you have to do is follow these seven simple (not necessarily easy) steps:

So today was supposed to be Opening Day for Baseball and while I haven't made it to an Opening Day game in years, that used to be a tradition for me for a few years shortly after getting out of college (before kids).

We're back.   I'm back.    I know for a lot of you the gyms are closed or will be closed soon.   But good news another great benefit of running is you can do it by yourself, you can do it outside and you don't need a lot of gear.

So I know it’s not much notice, but we've got to get moving.   A new challenge starts on Monday, so get your head ready and let’s do this.
